Here at Springboard Pre-School, we encourage parents to help their children learn and experience even more outside Pre-School hours with our fun activities.

Danbury Woods

Outdoor play benefits all aspects of a child’s development and health. Every half term throughout the year we offer children and their families/carers the opportunity to join us for an afternoon at Danbury Woods.

The woodland experience provides your child with the opportunity to explore, take risks, increase their confidence and learn more about the natural outdoor environment in a fun and stimulating way.

We do not charge a fee for this event as we passionately believe in the many benefits of the outdoor forest experience as outlined by the National Trust and other research.

Young Librarians

In accordance with the Rights for Children agreement, we encourage parents and children to visit Central Library and choose two of their favourite books, using our own Springboard Pre-School library ticket. The children introduce the books to the rest of the group and are then added to our book section for all the children to enjoy over the coming weeks.

Links with Springfield Park Baptist Church

Springboard Pre-School has strong links with the church. The chairman and up to three other church members form part of the management group. We have regular informal celebrations to which parents are invited; usually Harvest, Christmas, Easter and a leavers’ celebration in the Summer.

Springfield Park Baptist Church also offers special craft sessions, a toddler group, a coffee morning and in November, a firework display-suitable for children of all ages.
